Acer TravelMate 3012WTMi as Blogging Companion
I started blogging with Acer TravelMate 3012WTMi. It has then been my blogging companion. It’s very portable when I am on the move as it weights only around 1kg. I like it best because it has a 12″ WXGA CrystalBrite TFT LCD wherein I can clearly see the screen even if at an angle from the sides.
It’s powered by Intel Core Duo Processor 1.66 GHz 667 MHz FSB, 2 MB L2 cache though a bit old in it’s class compared to the latest release but it still have the speed to cope up with the programming/blogging needs. The RAM is 1 Gb DDR2 which supports dual-channel. I was really thinking of expanding it to 2 Gb as I work simultaneously with multiple graphic applications. Anyway that will come later. The laptop comes with 80 Gb SATA 5400 rpm hard disk not really impressive compared to the 7200 rpm but works well though.
Yup there is a wireless LAN 802.11b/g built-in and has a Bluetooth 2.0+ERD together with it’s Bluetooth VoIP phone which come useful when I am travelling. The weight is lesser because the optical disk reader is an external DVD-Super Multi double layer which support DVD+R Double Layer/DVD+-RW. There is this built-in 1.3 Mega camera too.
The 6 Cell lithium Ion battery is superb which lasts for like 2.5hrs. What more can I ask from a laptop? Acer TravelMate 3012WTMi is my best blogging companion.
