Downloading Flash Videos (FLV)

Have you ever visited websites that have videos?? How we wish to have a copy of those videos for keeping. It’s time to download and keep them. Sounds easy.
FLV page

We immediately right-click and look for something like “Save Target As”, “Save Link As” or anything similar to as downloading images. Unfortunately for streaming videos we could not do that though at times they could be stored somewhere in the browsers’ temporary internet file folders. We could not easily find a way to save them and becomes frustrating for an ordinary person.

“Flash Video (FLV) is a proprietary file format used to deliver video over the Internet using Adobe Flash Player (formerly known as Macromedia Flash Player) version 6, 7, 8, or 9.” — wikipedia

FLV Dowloader
Well I have scoured the internet for some reliable downloader which doesn’t cost a cent. FLV Downloader from Moyea software was a good contender. It’s totaly free to download, use and share. The installer is just 3.92 Mb and you can download FLV Downloader direct from the site. It can download simultaneous files and it has a built-in FLV player. No need to look for an FLV player anywhere else. The best thing is that it works.

FLV PlayerThe only downside of it is that it only runs in Windows. Tsk, tsk, tsk.. initially I was looking for one which could run in Fedora but I ended up finding and running one in Windows.

If you have used a similar program in linux I would be glad to hear your experience.
