Monitor Google’s PR, Alexa Rank and Other SEO Parameters
As a web content developer I would like to compare how my site fares with other sites regarding Google’s PR. I would normally before check Google’s PR with the link www.prchecker.info. That’s the only way I check my site’s SEO performance. But later I need to know also of the Alexa Rank, Internal Links, External Links and more of various sites.
I was wondering if it’s possible to really have a tool make monitoring and analyzing SEO performance easier. The search is over when I found out about SeoQuake.
“Seoquake is a Mozilla Firefox extension aimed primarily at helping web masters who deal with search engine optimization and internet promotion of web sites. Seoquake allows to obtain and investigate many important SEO parameters of the internet…” - SeoQuake
This tool can be easily installed on your Firefox browser.
It’s intalled like any other extension but can be installed direct also by the following:
- open link https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/3036
- scroll down and click Install Now button
Software Installation dialogue window pops up - click Install Now button
it will install the extension - click Restart Firefox button when asked
it will restart Firefox with the installed SeoQuake
You’ll know that it’s successfully installed when SQ icon at the bottom right hand side of your browser’s status bar shows up.
How do we use it? There are two (2) modes of using or accessing information.
- SeoQuake Bar
- SeoQuake Toolbar
How to activate SeoQuake Bar or SeoQuake Toolbar? To activate it just right click on the SQ icon found on your browser’s status bar right hand side. After which a pop up menu shows and just select/check the mode of access you want which is either SeoQuake Bar or SeoQuake Toolbar.
If SeoQuake Bar is activated then it will show just below the Firefox’s tab bar as shown in the browser. It will show the stats for each page you visit.
On the other hand if SeoQuake Toolbar is activated. The toolbar will be displayed between the address bar and the tab bar.
The SeoQuake Toolbar will show the SEO related information of the page actively viewed.
SeoQuake plugin for Firefox is really a helpful tool in analyzing and optimizing a web’s performance for search engines. It’s really a powerful tool when one knows how to use it. Play and learn with it.

It is nice, but it causes slow searching.
