Saving Laptop Battery Power when on the Move
Having a laptop is handy especially when you are on the move. It’s a difficult to lose power while working on some important stuff. It’s also embarrassing when it happens in the middle of a meeting presentation. In my experience even 6 cell battery packs last for only like 2.5 hours at most in normal use. I am lucky that my laptop have a spare 3 cell battery but even with that I don’t rely on it too much.
Let me share some five (5) of the common battery power saving tips I use:
- Avoid using CD/DVD drives.
- Minimize the use of external devices.
- Set the laptop to hibernate mode when not active.
- Adjust screen brightness to dim.
- Set the Laptop to use power saving scheme.
