Paid Blogging and Google’s Adsense which One?

I was doing a little experiment on ways of cashing in on a blog. I installed Google Adsense and run it on my site. Then I checked how much have I earned after two (2) months. To my surprise without doing anything I earned from Adsense. This is great I said to myself. Guess how much have I earned??? I earned less than 5$. It’s not bad getting paid for not doing anything. Maybe my site wasn’t getting that much traffic. Anyway for some people like me who are starting out it’s really not that encouraging.

On the other hand, I started writing paid reviews which gave me on the average about 10$ – 20$ per entry. Isn’t that encouraging? The difference there is of course I need to do some work by writing reviews about topics which is inline with my interest. But can you imagine the difference in pay? If anyone would be asked which one will they choose then for starters there’s no argument that they will not go for paid blogging. It’s just too good to be true. I could see that Google’s Adsense cost per click will only impact earnings of sites that have very good traffic. But for some few to moderate traffic sites, cost per click will not be the way to go. Definitely paid reviews will be a viable alternative when it comes to cashing on blogsites.

Paid blogging encouraged me to do more as it’s possible to make some money online with my blog. I am thinking of using the money earned from this endeavor to pay for the hosting cost of the site. If there are other things I would like to do with the earnings, it would be using it for helping others alleviate their financial situation by supporting projects like the one in kiva.org. Those are far fetched ideas but it’s good to help others realize their dreams.

My final word about cashing in on blogs… it might be too early to conclude which is better between the two. If I could combine them both it would be much better. I am asking my mentors in blogging if it’s possible but they don’t have an answer yet. Who knows what will be the trend in the future but as of now paid blogging is the way to go. If you like to learn how to earn money online just leave me a comment with your email and I’ll get back on you. Cheers!!! It’s never too late to start. ;)

I go for PPP…highly reliable for professional blogging…but if it will affect your site’s status better have Adsense.
