Keyword Density SEO Overkill Tragedy
Is there a thing such as SEO over-optimized websites? I was just checking if this could be possible. Over-optimization can lead to sites penalized by search engines; the site could be banned temporarily or permanently. When this happens it spells tragedy. Over-optimization could happen knowingly or unknowingly. So, it’s better to check sometimes if our site is already over optimized for search engine.
One example of over optimization is due to keyword density. Keword density is the matching of the text inside your website compared with the sites main keywords. If your site have a good match then the result is a good rank also in search engines. The problem is SEO companies in the quest for making their client go to the top of search engines they over stuff keywords in the sites content. They put keywords more than appropriate or necessary. Keyword density within the range of 3% to 7% is the recommended acceptable values; more than that will most likely be a keyword stuffing case. Keyword density performance more than 10% are considered overkill and are most likely going to be penalized by search engines.
If you want your website be optimized for search engines don’t overkill it or else you’ll suffer the consequences. Check your site for this trap or improve on it through keyword density analyzer tool found at http://tools.seobook.com/general/keyword-density/. Enjoy SEO blogging.
