Remote Access a Productivity Tool
In an IT environment most of the work is required 24/7. I for one am trapped on this situation. Sometimes when I am at the field or at home, I need to access the window servers or my working pc at the office. Inside the school campus network system I could use the windows built-in remote desktop software to connect to the various Windows 2000 or Windows XP computers.
It’s a very common part of a tech’s job to do some emergency of administration or urgent development task. But ordinary users would like to avail of this productivity tool set. Office people would like to work on office files to do letters, memos or presentation at home for urgent meetings and the like.
We might as well note that in the past, remote access was not in particular technologies of the masses. Elaborate and high-priced application software was rarely used by anyone other than IT professionals and other seasoned computer users. Today, all this has changed; dramatic improvements in the usability and pricing of this utility software have evolved. This gives you ease of access to your other PCs, whether they’re across cities or on the other side of the world. One of the easy, secure, fast and affordable remote access software is RemotePC. The software is even up to date to work with the latest Windows Vista operating system.
The impact of having remote access as part of a productivity tool of common users could not be denied. Gone are the days where only IT professionals have the monopoly of this kind of application software. At least for the windows based desktop user this is the case; for Linux desktop users it will take sometime to do a catch up.
