uTorrent a Free Windows Lightweight BitTorrent Client for Torrent File Downloads
Sharing of files through the Internet have been a great issue especially when it comes to intellectual property piracy. Peer to peer file sharing technology have been one of those communications protocol which is constantly attacked as one which promotes software or digital content piracy. In some countries the laws are very stiff on those caught downloading software with the peer-to-peer file sharing technologies.
Going into the philosophy of the particular matter which would be a lengthy discussion, but what I believe is that technology could be used for good or for bad. Everything really depends on how you use technology. What I would like to share is about a lightweight peer-to-peer (P2P) file sharing software like uTorrent which is only 214.8Kb. It comes with almost all the features present in other BitTorrent clients like scheduling, bandwidth prioritization, auto-downloading, and many more. The software is using a very small amount of nifty system resources like using less than 6MB of memory which is practically nothing in comparison to other P2P clients memory usage. I believe uTorrent is a powerful and efficient BitTorrent client for downloading torrent files on Windows. Some may say that too bad it only runs on Windows OS, but for sure there are lots of alternatives on other operating systems.
