A graphic designer have a selection of software tools for manipulating graphics and photo. I have marveled on the possibilities of the graphic software that are now available in the market. When it comes to photo or graphic editing I could not just let Photoshop pass by as a program to use.

Photoshop is a popular software used by amateur and professional photographers, graphic and web designers, to bring about life in print, web, or any media. I have been using it for many of my graphic and photo editing needs. The latest release of Photoshop CS3 even comes with more power for the designers as there are nondestructive filters, rich painting and drawing toolset, advance compositing, quick selection and refine edge tools to name a few.

Those new features of Adobe Photoshop could be used in creating a poster effect similar to the original movie posters of Beyond Borders which stars Angelina Jolie and Clive Owen. Professionals call the technique of creation as Photoshop Whiteout. It would take a little bit of time though for amateurs to accomplish such a great poster finish, but it’s achievable. I highly recommend using Photoshop CS3 for this kind of project.
