Assembling A New Office Computer
A new staff came to start working with us today, but the problem there’s no computer provided yet. We hold a meeting and after the meeting it was known that the computer will be delivered the following day. I pity the new staff having to wait for a day for her work computer to be delivered. There’s two way of availing of a computer in our office. It’s through the purchasing office buying a complete set of desktop computer.
The new normal specifications for desktop computers:
- CPU Intel Core 2 Duo 1.8GHZ
- Hard Disk 160GB
- Memory DDR II 1024MB
- Optical Drive DVD-RW
- FX6200 256MB AGP
- Audio type on board
- USB Port
- Monitor 19 inch LCD
- Modem, Reader, Key Board
- Insurance 3 years
The above complete office computer set cost around $950 US.
Since the office is kind of squeezing some budget, they might go as well with some PC Kits wherein they could get a much better desktop computer at a lower price.
Here is a specification of a basic PC Kit level:
- Fully illustrated assembly guide
- 2.20 GHz Intel® Core™2 Duo
- 2GB SDRAM (2 x 1GB)
- 250GB Hard Drive
- Integrated Graphics Accelerator 950
- 16X DVD-ROM
- Keyboard and mouse
- Choice of operating system
- 30 day satisfaction guarantee
The basic desktop computer PC Kit will cost around $499.00 US.
The savings are around $500 US which is a big difference. So, I think our office choose this option that’s why there is a delay. It’s really a practical choice to go for PC Kit as it has a cheaper price at a higher specification computer.
