Power Failure Hard Disk Crash Data Recovery

Power failures are the most common cause of hard disk crash. At the office we have all been provided with uninterruptible power supply (UPS) which will supply temporary power for our desktop computers. Thus, our computers will not be affected by power failures.

A rainy day have caused sudden power failure and the UPS failed to fire up. Oh, the batteries maybe are dead already as it is about 2 to 3 years old. After like 2 minutes the power was back already, which I guess is from the power generator. The unexpected happens, the computer would not boot again. Maybe a disk recovery program is needed. The same process might be needed when one accidentally deleted some files due to a faulty mouse; a program to Recover Deleted Files could be used.

The most important thing after cases like this is not to touch the hard disk further more. Another would be not to write on the hard disk as this might overwrite some disk sectors that hold the deleted or unaccessible data. If the data are so important maybe you could leave the data recovery to the experts. There are people who specialize in data recovery service which cost a few dollars worth in exchange for a valuable data.
