Point of Sale Ease With Pocket PC
Weekends are times that I spent with friends playing tennis after which we usually go to dinner together. One Sunday evening we had dinner on a nearby local restaurant known as Jakarrat which is popular for their delicious food and special roasted chicken.
I was surprised when the waiter took our order with a pocket PC or something like a symbol mc50 handheld computer. The orders were punched in directly to the hand held device. Even an ordinary restaurant could now afford to have a point of sale devices for their waiters. I am not sure though of the mode of transfer of data from the device. Maybe it’s using a USB cable or a wireless device to communicate with the cash register.
This kind of device is making order swift and accurate. Truly, there’s an ease on the part of the waiter, especially if there’s countless tables and long list of order are taken. A point of sale device like a pocket PC revolutionize how sale orders are taken and are processed in real time.
