Light Weight Laptop ASUS EEEPC Rivals HP 2133 Mini-note

ASUS have released a newer version of their light weight and cheap mobile laptop called EEE PCs. This new EEE PC 900 have a bigger display screen of 8.9 inch which is same as with HP 2133 Mini-note. When it comes to weight ASUS’s EEEPC laptop is still the best at less than 1 kg compared to 1.3 kg for HP 2133 Mini-note. Definitely EEEPC 900 is much easier to carry around.

There is also a difference in the storage device as EEEPC use of the SSD (Solid State Disk) while Mini-note have an ordinary laptop harddisk by default which also supports a SSD. EEEPC could have 1024 x 600 resolution while Mini-note could extend to 1280 x 768 resolution. EEEPC runs on Intel Mobile Chipset while Mini-note runs on VIA C7-M ULV Processor.

Both are ready for mobile Internet capabilities like bluetooth and built-in wireless. I can observe that the EEEPC have 1.3M pixel web cam while Mini-note does not have. Comparing actually the two would be difficult as HP’s 2133 Mini-note is more of a full pledged laptop while ASUS EEEPC is a subnote book computer.

When weight matters then ASUS EEE PC 900 is truly a better mobile laptop than HP 2133 Mini-note. EEEPC 900 is much cheaper than HP 2133 Mini-note. It’s your choice between the two. EEEPC will be enough for light weight user, but for power user then HP 2133 Mini-note will be better.
