Reading Books For Keeping Updated With Information Technology

There are many new things that comes up with Information Technology every week, every month and every year. Reading is a must to keep ones self abreast of the rapid changes. In times where e-books are easily available; I still prefer reading from printed paper books. This rest my eyes from the computer screen which I am hooked up 8 hours or more a day.

Though most of the basic ideas could be searched free from the Internet, but reading from a book is for me something different. Since, I do web programming in Oracle using PL/SQL, I encounter difficulty in user interface programming; so, integrating some AJAX would be helpful. Some of the things that I am slowly learning is regarding JQuery. Learning Jquery: Better Interaction Design and Web Development with Simple JavaScript Techniques is a good reference book that I like to read. I would like to explore also web services; thus, Oracle Database Programming Using Java and Web Services would be another good reference book for me.

You maybe reading books that of different topics based on your interest or needs, but sure it’s one way of updating our knowledge.
