Victory Against Spam Emails

The first thing I do when I reach office is to check on my email. Everyday, I get tons of emails on both work and personal accounts. The only thing I don’t like with my web based email is that it’s littered with spam email. How I wish that one day they’ll be all gone. I am diligently labeling mail that are spam with the spam button feature of my web based email account.

It’s interesting to note that legal battles are won over these spammers. I have read an article about the arrest of alleged spam king Robert Alan Soloway. This is widely celebrated by email security specialist and ordinary email users like me. People who are caught have the right to be legally represented in court by getting some criminal defense attorney. In the state of California for example one could get some information about what’s happening from the California Criminal Defense Blog | Los Angeles Criminal Defense Attorneys. But, Soloway’s case was brought by the U.S. Attorney’s Office in Washington’s Western District to focus more on the fraudulent claims of Soloway’s Newport Internet Marketing Corporation (NIM) products and services.

Despite of the arrest of the alleged spam king there’s still doubt of the reduction in spam emails being received daily. Mostly these spam bots are run automatically and are very cheap and easy to build. Thus, the viral networks of spam emails are still going. Nevertheless, it’s a great day for justice.
