Searching for a career path, is one of the concerns of my younger brother in-law. Whether to take up Computer Engineering degree or something else. Those who are interested in employment with IT career are familiar with titles such as Applications Programmer, Computer Programmer, Database Programmer, Systems Programmer, and more.

The work for example that I have as a System Analyst / Programmer requires job task like helping analyze and/or design a particular system. This needs thorough research and documentation of computer user’s requirements.

Another would involve translating design specifications into computer code and tested for correctness against desired out come. Sometimes program design activities include data and module definition. On the later part, modification and documentation program code for ease of developing enhancement and error correction in the program. Prepare reports, manuals and documentation on the status, operation and maintenance of system software.
