Switch To Biodegradable USB Flash Drive
Portable storage drives like the Universal Serial Bus or USB Flash drives are very useful. They are a replacement for the floppy disk that existed long ago. The only difference is this small thumb size device could pack up data from 1Gb and even up to 256Gb. I could not imagine an office without this very useful device around for transferring files such as document, presentation, spreadsheet, photos, music, videos to name a few.
Well as the demand and use for it grows the environmental concern of it’s impact in the long run also mounts. Thus, Hoshino a Hong Kong based company developed one of the first biodegradable USB Flash drive. The USB Flash drive is manufactured based on some polylactide (PLA) material which is a biodegradable, thermoplastic, aliphatic polyester derived from renewable resources like corn or sugarcanes. Don’t worry it works just like any other flash drive you have. No problem with disposing; if you don’t find any use of it, just pitch it in the bin. So, how about switching to a more environment friendly biodegradable USB flash drive?
