Friendster Social Networking Site Catching Up With OpenSocial
One of the hottest social networking program in Asia is Friendster. Before the days of MySpace or FaceBook, there was already Friendster and I remember almost all of my friends have an account with it. They invite me to join the Friendster social networking circle. It was so sad that after a while Friendster got stucked with development. There are no new frills the could keep up with the competition like FaceBook or MySpace.
Good news to Friendster users! Right now Friendster have opened up their social networking program to include interoperability with OpenSocial. OpenSocial is by the way a Google led plan to create a way of sharing of applications developed for various social networking sites. This initiative could, for instance, encourage developers of media-sharing tools for MySpace that could be adapt to Friendster without building it from scratch.
Friendster is now catching up with the pack. FaceBook is not even yet OpenSocial ready. Cheers to Friendster.
