Nokia 5800 XpressMusic Joins Touch Screen Smartphone Technology Battle

It’s an exciting year for smartphones and consumer’s are seeing a battle of smartphone on the rise. It all started with Apple’s iPhone, and then followed by Google’s T-Mobile G1, RIM’s Blackberry Storm, and joining the pack is Nokia’s 5800 XpressMusic handset.

It’s obvious that Apple’s iPhone is certainly ahead of the bunch as of now. The challenger’s are also having some solid features that catch one’s attention. Nokia’s 5800 XpressMusic comes with music service equivalent to 4 million songs to download from 4 major music labels. Nokia have some touch screen feedback technology called Haptikos which is similar to RIM’s Blackberry ClickThrough technology.

The strategy of Nokia by getting younger user’s through music by offering them a gadget filled with free music download service could be a direct attack on iPhone. The technology is creating a right kind of competition in the smartphone technology area. If we look at it, there’s no other company that have a good history of telephone expertise like Nokia. Thus, I believe Nokia will get a big share of the smartphone market in the future.
