Hacking To Expand Cheap Netbook Features

The latest craze of portable device is the netbooks. A few years back getting a 10 inch portable laptop would cost around $2000. Thus, I consider it a dream to have such a laptop. Today, gives us a different story when Netbooks would cost only around $400 on the average.

The cheap price of the netbooks would make it a perfect candidate for hacking. It’s actually dubbed as a hacker’s haven. It would be cheaper to hack a netbook and install more mods and add-on features. There are services offered by hackers on how to add mods on a netbook. This netbook-modding business is taking a big following as the financial crunch is taking effect.

It would be practical to spend a few dollars for getting some mods for a netbook like DVD readers, Bluetooth, GPS, touch screen, HDTV tuners, and more. As a device netbooks should address performance, software compatibility, broadband connectivity, wireless connectivity, battery life to name a few.

I believe that netbooks will continue to grow in demand. This is a platform for people who mod, people that belong to low-income group, educational markets and kids. Netbook is really a cheap ideal hardware for doing mods to expand the features available.
