Netbooks are popularly growing and manufacturers have designed it to run Internet applications. Another factor that contributed to netbooks cheap price of around 400$ mark is the limited hardware configuration. Linux is the most logical operationg system (OS) for netbooks. Two major netbook that I have used is the HP’s Mininote 2133 which comes with some SuSe Linux and Acer’s Aspire One have Linpus Linux Lite. Linux have been the choice of OS for netbooks, but there are some that still come with Windows XP.

Linux is still far taking the desktop market that Microsoft Windows have dominated. Spreading the news about Linux like Ubuntu Desktop which is a very user friendly Linux derivative would be one way. The campaign is very important and the word is spread about Ubuntu Linux by selling merchandise on the web.

The Linux T-shirts are great merchandise. The T-shirts might not be the same quality as a Pro Club T Shirts, but it’s worth the price. A cool way of making people become curious of what Linux is all about. The Tux T-shirt is in my opinion a good merchandise to spread awareness about Linux.
