In a computer industry rooms there are special rules and policy to follow. A computer is a very delicate piece of technology and the working area for it should be properly observed. The strict rules on the dress code should be followed. The floors of the computer manufacturing plant are all antistatic to prevent short circuit of the delicate circuits.

Work Boots is often acceptable in say construction and other grueling outdoor works, but are not really usable in a computer industry manufacturing area. The computer industry environment would require some antistatic shoes. Durable Caterpillar boots made of leather is acceptable on floor areas where no minute computer circuitry is present.

Some clean rooms in computer manufacturing areas don’t allow shoes, but some antistatic slipper. A slip on gown would be necessary together with a hair cap to prevent the damage to Integrated Circuits (IC) due to static electricity. Footwear and working gowns that has insulating capability would be appropriate.
