Sony’s Cyber-shot Digital Camera Smile Shutter Technology

Sony’s Smile Shutter technology is a big help in trying to capture the perfect smiling photo of a person. Taking photos of kids for example is like a mouse and cat game. You are forced to stealing some quick photo shots when they are smiling. If they are in the mood to smile you could easily do the job, but when they are having tantrums it would be difficult. These photo sessions would normally be a challenge for photographers.

For professionals and amateurs alike, having the best digital slr or whether you choose to have a compact digital camera is a crucial choice to make. Features such as Sony’s Cyber-shot Digital Camera Smile Shutter technology could be considered in the selection. Sensor that scans the facial expression and automatically triggers the camera shutter when the person is smiling is something that I find cool to have in my digital camera. The Smile Shutter feature of the camera works only for a single face. So, in a group photo one person should be selected from among the group as the basis for the automatic Smile Shutter technology to work.

The Smile Shutter technology looks on different factors in determining the smiling face. Things like cheekbones, teeth showing, narrowing eyes, and others. Some conditions where the Smile Shutter technology would not work is when there are big eye glasses, head cover, head turned side ways, mouth covered. Sony’s Cyber-shot Digital Camera Smile Shutter technology would be good to play around and test, but there are still lots of room for improvement. There are instances where the technology fails to capture the smiles. Thus, you could safely still stick to the old fashioned way of say “CHEEZE” when you take photo. Good luck.
