Computing Technology is very dynamic and surprising. I read a good thing in personal computing from the news feed. This is about the touted Ultra Low Cost Laptop from India. The Sakshat Laptop which reported to cost only $10 is a puzzling announcement.

Most of the people who would like to put a laptop to every house hold would be happy to hear this. But seeing it hitting the shelves is a thing to look forward. A few things are known regarding Sakshat Ultra Low Cost Laptop. This will have the usual Net book configuration like Wi-Fi, LAN, 2Gb RAM, and will use very little power of 2 watts.

The laptop price is lesser than the Microsoft Windows Vista License. Thus, it would most likely be running on open source Linux operating system.
