I used my OCZ class 6 8gb card and it always pops up saying "card not supported" but works 90% of the time. SOMETIMES it'll tell me "card locked" and it wont take a picture but ill just turn it off and on a couple of times and it'll work.

I tried an 8gb card in this. While it looks like it actually worked it did not give the right number of photos for the size.

At maximum resolution:
2gb card = 498 pics
8gb card = 908 pics

I tried an 8 GB memory card with this camera, and it DID NOT work. It says card not supported when you turn on camera. Maybe it was the brand ... not sure.

The camera is awesome though, just need to use a 4Gb SD card I believe (I am ordering one soon) ...
Good luck!

Thanks for pointing it out. Yes, the book says up to 4Gb SD Card p. 85..
Not to dampen your spirits, 8 Gb is more of a risk, but you can try if it works (http://www.woot.com/Blog/ViewEntry.aspx?Id=7574) for you.
Reduce your risk.. borrow first a 8Gb SDHC and try it.. if it doesn't work then stick with the 4Gb SD Card.
