GPS Technology is being widely used in tracking shipments. Important cargo needs to be located every minute to be sure that it is safe and secure. GPS Tracking Technology also insures that the cargo is following the right route towards the registered destination.

Cargo movers that allows clients to track their valuable shipments have an advantage over those who don’t have a tracking service. Shipment tracking could even be done through the Internet by just punching the tracking code. Shippers have this sense of security on their shipment.

I remember the movie Transporter 3 where rouge terrorist group led by Johnson blackmails Minister Leonid Vasilev to sign an agreement to accept toxic waste shipment in his country in exchange of his kidnapped daughter. GPS Technology have some problems as it would be very difficult to track the shipment in some areas. This shows that GPS Technology is not really perfect as signals are often lost in forested and mountainous areas. Having some GPS Tracking on shipments is better than nothing at all. Personally, I would prefer premium shipment tracking service for valuable shipments.
