Download Opera 10.0 Browser Software with the Presto 2.2 Rendering Engine
Internet browser software is getting more important as trends toward cloud computing gains ground. I am an avid user of FireFox browser due to the numerous customizations that is available via plug-in. But recently, I have tried the latest alpha 1 release of Opera 10.0 Browser for Windows with the latest Presto 2.2 rendering engine.
Never have I used an Opera Browser before. So I find the High Speed Dial as a cool feature to access immediately websites that are always visited. I kind of like also the Opera Dragonfly web developer tool. The browser performance is kind of fast. It renders www.techxplore.net for the same page faster by about 3 seconds compared to FireFox or IE. This might be due to the new Presto 2.2 rendering engine.
Some notable changes in Presto 2.2 Browser Engine:
- Rendering performance improvement
- Web font support
- Acid3 test compliance for pixel-perfect rendering
- Support CSS3 RGBA/CSS3 HSLA/transparent color values
- HTML5 improved support

Personally, I would still though stick to FireFox Interner browser due to the wide variety of customization available to the user. If you’re looking for a day to day surfing standards compliant browser that will offer fast browsing experience, Opera 10.0 Internet browser with Presto 2.2 rendering engine would be a good alternative browser.
