Eltron P310 Card Printer Driver Was Not Installed Error on Windows Vista
In the office we’ve upgraded some outdated desktop computers to HP Pavilion p6072l. The Intel Core 2 Duo processor E7400 2.8GHz computers with 320 GB Hard Disk, 2GB RAM DDR2 come preloaded with Windows Vista Royal Business Edition. The user was very excited to have the computer. The flashy Windows Vista is something cool.
The computer package specification is fast even with the resource hogging Windows Vista. There’s some apprehension for Windows Vista as we’re not sure if the client / server application that prints plastic ID card would be supported. We’re hoping that by installing the latest HP Drivers the Rainbow Software which is being used in creating and printing ID card templates would work fine. Rainbow Software is very useful in the day to day printing of student ID cards of the institute.
We’ve installed Rainbow Software in Windows Vista without any trouble. The problem is when the Eltron P310 Card Printer Driver was installed it throws an error. The printer driver is badly needed to be able to print, but it could not be installed on Windows Vista. Drivers are very important in enabling a particular computer device like a printer to work properly for without the proper driver the printer would be useless.
Windows Driver Update was not able to find any available update for the printer. Finally, the solution that we came up was to change HP Pavilion’s operating system into Windows XP. The change enabled us to install the Eltron P310 Card Printer Driver without any problem. I have observed that latest computer operating system such as Windows Vista is sometimes not yet fully ready for office use as it has limited support for Computer Device Drivers. We’re hoping that maybe a Windows Vista compatible driver for Eltron P310 Card Printer would be released soon.
