Apple fans have a golden collection of old computers that never seem to die out. The Apple IIgs which was discontinued in December 1992 was still popular for the Apple computer aficionados. It’s a very old computer with only 256k to 8Mb max memory.

The computer operating system is Apple GUI or ProDOS. There are programs that still perfectly run on these machines such as Golden Orchard. Golden Orchard is a collection of utilities and games software with mostly File Extension 09 for Apple IIgs computer.

The Golden Orchard is stored on HFS CD-ROM for the Apple IIgs computer that is equipped with Apple CD-Rom. There’s about 650 different selected game and utilities software. There are versions of CD based software released in 1997.

There are many files with File Extension 09 in Apply IIgs computers some of which could be found in the Golden Orchard CD-Rom. Currently DigiSoft / A.P.P.L.E. is the company that releases official updates.

The latest release of the software collection in 2008 which include emulator compliant programs and other files with File Extension 09 stored on DVD’s is very important. Included in the DVD are emulator software which allows old and newer games and utilities to run on Apple IIgs computer.
