Map Drive Microsoft Windows Network No Logon Servers Available
Shared computer resources like file sharing are a common thing at work. A Windows file server host a variety of application files and source files. Map drives are the usual way we access the files. This might not be the most secure way of sharing files, but it serves our purpose. The security we have in accessing the file resources is through authentication via network domain server.
Everyone who want to access any file resources whether it’s an application file or data file, it is need to logon first to the network domain. I have encountered a different scenario upon map drive login with Windows pop error message:
An error occurred while reconnecting Z: to \\server\folder$. Microsoft Windows Network: There are currently no logon servers available to service the logon request. This connection has not been restored.
There’s little choice to respond to the error message but to click the OK button. We’re still looking for the cause of the error. Windows Internet Name Service (WINS) might be the reason for this error message: “There are currently no logon servers available to service the logon request”. Needs to check further more on this error.
