Correcting Parallels H-Sphere Error: Wrong Host Dedicate IP Web Hosting Problem

Lately, techxplore.net blog got hit by a Parallels H-Sphere Error: Wrong Host. The whole day was nearly a waste. Visitors and advertisers were complaining about the website downtime. I suspect that the problem was due to domain assignment. The technical support explained that there is an IP routing problem with the dedicated IP address ’67.228.30.35′, assigned to techxplore.net domain. They are working with Domain Controller to solve this issue.

I was a bit frustrated with the situation considering the period of downtime. There’s no definite time for the fix. A stop gap solution is to change the IP address of domain ‘techxplore.net’ to a shared one for the time being, until the problem with the dedicated IP address is rectified. This will bring the site back online after the shared IP will replicate across the Internet. This sounds to be a good option and was implemented.

Collocation hosting might somehow help on this kind of situation. Anyway, techxplore.net is back online and I hope there are no more glitches when it will be reverted back to dedicated IP. Sometimes dedicated IP web hosting has also it’s own problem over shared IP web hosting. In spite of what had happened, I still go for dedicate IP due to advantages in search engine optimization and search engine rankings.
