Google.com Redirects to Local Google Search Engine Page
Search engines are very useful tool that everyone has come to use at home or at work. A problem I encountered lately with the prominent Google search engine is the failure to open the international website. Opening www.google.com redirects for example to a local search engine page or regional search engine page like www.google.co.th, www.google.co.jp.
A foreigner staying temporarily on these countries would find it difficult to use the google search engine. Even clicking the “Google.com in English” link goes back to the local search engine webpage. If you can’t read or speak the local language then Google search engine is less useful. Alternative search engine is present of course like yahoo.com, ask.com, altavista.com, msn.com, and others.
If you are sorely hooked on google search engine, how to solve this issue? A way to solve this is to type the URL pointing to an international google webpage as follows:
http://www.google.com/intl/en/
The first time I tried, typing the URL it redirects to some web listing. On the result page just click on the result which points to the above link. Finally, I was in the international google search page. Whatever is the case, I think this annoying little stuff would definitely not affect much those international websites that depends on Google for search engine traffic. I hope you have luck on it.
