Nobody could deny that more and more people are concerned of environmental impact. Thus, there is this drive to have more environment friendly electronic products with so called green technologies. The consumer electronics industry has been changed by eco-minded consumers.

At CES, there’s a discussion to be hosted by CNET with slogan “Making Electronics Greener One Consumer at a Time”. Everyone is compelled into reducing environmental footprint by following standards.

Every consumer would have to think of the environment. It is recommended that consumers would dispose their used laptop computer, monitors, printers, smart phones and other electronic gadgets in a environmentally sound manner. Thinking of reusing parts by recycling products, components and materials. Also, exploring technologies that are energy efficient.

I was reminded of the movie “Avatar” where nature is such a fragile and valuable asset that we should preserve.
