The most handy office media for data storage and data backup are the CD’s and DVD’s. I usually grab a Verbatim CD-R or DVD-R supply from our secretary to backup some data or store video presentation files and images for sending to another office. Sometimes, I receive samples of video business presentation from our main office abroad. This video presentation needs to distributed to about some hundreds of sales distributors as part of their training material.

CD duplication is kind of easy and I have done it many times. There are various software for copying them fast. One of the favorite CD / DVD burning software that comes bundled with my Acer laptop computer is the Nero Burning software. It’s a complete suite of CD / DVD burning tools. It comes even with Nero Vision software which could be used to create video presentation and photo slides or movie. The Verbatim DVD-R fits just fine for this kind of project which takes much storage space due to large files of video presentation which the ordinary CD’s could not accommodate.

Making the copy as I’ve said is straight forward and no hassle. What bothers me is the creation and printing of CD / DVD labels. I need to make the CD’s presentable to the distributors so that it would not appear cheap. Using some software like CorelDraw X3 or PhotoShop CS3 to design the labels. I’m glad that the Verbatim CD-R surface is good for printing labels even with Inkjet Printers. The disk surface is water resistant which produces photo glossy label appearance.

I find Nero Burning software as and ideal tool for video presentation CD duplication and DVD replication. I think it’s one of the most popular and user friendly CD / DVD duplication software available in the market.
