Environment Friendly Barium-Titanate Battery Technology a Breakthrough

Global warming alleviation are some of the primary drivers of technology innovation. Trucks and cars are some of the culprits of carbon emission that causes green house effect. Environment friendly energy source are hot topics in news articles. Headlines with alternative fuel catches peoples attention hoping that there’s already a solution to rising cost of conventional fuel from oil.

Government is slow to adapt with the economics of environment challenges, but hybrid powered vehicles are emerging with some tax incentive. Pure electric powered cars still have hurdles to overcome due to high cost of battery production and it’s heavy weight problem.

I read an article from technology section of Internet article directory about a new battery. This battery is based on barium-titanate which is stored on ceramic. It boast of production cost half compared to that of conventional batteries. Have lesser harmful toxic chemicals as compared to lead acid based battery.

This battery is being developed by EEstor, a company located in Texas. The manufacturers hoped this new battery would replace the current batteries ranging from cars to personal laptop computers. Is it truly a breakthrough in the battery field? Let’s wait and see after it passes safety standards of the government. I’ll check updates of the article posted A Battery Break Through? from the Internet articles directory.
