Cheapest iPad Contender India’s 35 US Dollar Tablet Computer
Portable tablet computer highlights Apple’s iPad as the best in the market. There’s a lot of buzz about iPad as the tablet computer to beat. One needs more understanding of features and value for a price tag of $499 or more on an iPad.
There’s a tablet computer prototype which was unveiled by India’s Ministry of Human Resource Development about mid of 2010. The prototype touch screen computer was developed by the elite Indian Institute of Technology, and the Indian Institute of Science. The iPad-like touch-screen laptop is aimed for students.
The tablet computer, which has yet to be named, boasts of three-hour power back-up, Internet browser, media player, video-conferencing capability, good data storage, hard disk drive and web cam. The ministry aims to give students better education and technical skills needed especially in higher education to boost economic growth.
Lots of manufacturers are interested to mass produce the device, but I would like to see this 35$ iPad-like gadget hit the market soon. I look forward to this touch screen computer next year. So far, this is the cheapest iPad touch screen contender unveiled.
