Rebuilding Data Center Infrastructure from Scratch a Challenge
Rebuilding IT data center infrastructure from some uncontrolled event is a challenge for IT support companies. This is the case especially when data center is remote manage by outsource IT support team. The effect on the business is tremendous due to work disruption and down time. IT manager could plan on something general, but lots of things could be missed due to lack of actual data center understanding.
Most outsource company rely on expertise from IT support staff offshore with people onsite having limited technical capacity. The technical expertise of manpower available onsite and logistical challenges are major factors in a successful data center infrastructure rebuilding. Offshore IT manager usually creates a false sense of capability creating plan and reports which are good on paper, but sometimes not practicable. Thus, I don’t see any positive outcome of offshore outsource IT support staff working on rebuilding data center infrastructure as the list of issues are insurmountable.
Hiring a company specializing in IT data center rebuilding or data center expansion is the more suitable solution. Data center experts which focus on modular, adaptable, and on-demand solution that ensures effective, efficient, and quick adaptability to business changes are having more chances of success.
